Although there may be some similarities between streaming platforms and traditional ticketing/box office systems, it's important to note that most traditional systems are not specifically designed to regulate access to digital content, including live streams and pre-recorded materials.
Access Code
CUR8's streaming platform provides a comprehensive solution that safeguards your content and access to your content. Attendees purchase access to your event and will receive a secure link and access code to use with that link. The access code is unique to each purchase, and attendees can not share this code as the system only allows one device to be watching the stream under an access code.
With CUR8's ticketing and streaming platform:

If I am only streaming on CUR8, how much will that cost?
If you're not using our ticketing platform, the cost of using just CUR8's streaming platform is a flat rate of $1.50 per ticket processed on the site, whether the ticket is redeemed or not. This fee covers the cost of streaming. Our ticket fee will apply if you're also using our ticket system.
Ticketing Options When Only Streaming With CUR8
While you will lose some operational efficiency provided by using both our box office and streaming platform, using CUR8 for streaming in tandem with your current box office software is simple.
We offer two solutions: one is to process streaming access codes by bulk tickets, and the other recommended option is to process individual tickets.
Bulk Tickets
- You'll need to share each individual access code with each attendee manually.
- This will let you use only our streaming/access control services while processing sales through your third-party system.
- Please note that bulk export could create challenges if your attendee needs assistance viewing their event.
- Without the attendee's name being linked to their access code, we cannot resend their access code/ticket packet to them, and technical support becomes challenging as we cannot verify the access code you provided them in a bulk ticket situation.
Individual Tickets
- Another option is for you to process access codes that were sold via your third-party ticket platform by logging into our platform and processing a complimentary ticket for the same attendee. Tickets processed through our box office will provide each attendee with their access code and instructions on viewing their event.
- Also, their name is now associated with their assigned access code.
- We highly recommend this individualized method as it provides a better overall customer service experience.
