The Check-in Manager is a straightforward tool designed to make your box office more efficient and check-in more effective.

Quickly find attendees using their name or transaction number, check in an entire party or a single ticket, monitor your event’s real-time check-in progress, and correct accidental check-ins, all from one place.

Please note: The Check-in Manager requires a signed-in CUR8 user account.

Where is the Check-in Manager?

  1. From your project, select the Project Poster.
  2. Go to the Project's Landing Page.
  3. Scroll down to Analytics and Check-in Manager.
  4. In the gray header, select Check-in Manager.

The Check-in Manager will open with the most recent available event date selected.

How to Use the Check-in Manager

1/ Select Your Event Date

Use the Select Event Date dropdown to choose the event you are checking attendees into.

The dropdown only includes event dates that have already occurred or the current event date. Future event dates will not appear.

Important: Always make sure you have selected the correct event date before checking anyone in.

2/ Check In View

The Check-in Manager gives you two simple views to toggle between:

  • Not Checked-In
  • Checked-In

You'll likely use the "Not Checked-In" view the majority of the time to find attendees to check in. The Not Checked-In view shows tickets and transactions that have not yet been checked in.

3/ Search for an Attendee or Ticket

Need to find someone quickly? Use the search field to search by:

  • Transaction number
  • Ticket number
  • Seat
  • Name

Check In an Entire Transaction

If everyone in an order arrives together, you can check in the entire transaction at once.

  1. Find the transaction using the search field.
  2. Select the Check-in Transaction button on the line with the Transaction ID.
  3. All associated tickets with this transaction will be checked in. In the example below, there are (4) total tickets that will be checked in with one click.
  4. A green confirmation message will appear confirming that the transaction has been checked.

Checking in using the transaction button checks in all tickets in that order for the selected event date.

Check In Individual Tickets

Sometimes attendees from the same order arrive separately. You can check them in individually without checking in the rest of the order.

  1. Find the transaction using the search field.
  2. Select Check-in Ticket.
  3. One ticket will be checked in for this transaction. If you need to select additional individual tickets, select them one by one using Check-in Ticket.
  4. A green confirmation message will confirm that the ticket has been checked in.

Example - Select Check-in Ticket to check in Jeffrey Golden's Seat 1:1:1

Ticket 1:1:1 has been checked in individually. When Jeffrey's other three attendees arrive, they can be checked in as well. If all three are together, you can use the Check In Transaction option.

4/ Monitor Check-in Status

As attendees are checked in, the Check-in Status chart on the left automatically updates to show your progress.

Once every available ticket for the selected event date has been checked in, the status will show 100% of tickets checked in, along with a message confirming that all available tickets for the event date have been checked in.

This gives box office and event staff a quick view of how check-in is progressing.

5/ Review Checked-In Attendees

Select Checked-In at the top of the Check-in Manager to review transactions and tickets that have been checked in. The checked-in date and time stamp is also displayed.

Using the toggles in the blue header, you can view transactions by:

  • Transaction ID
  • Transaction Name

Expand a transaction to see the individual tickets associated with that order and which tickets have been checked in.

Need to Correct a Check-In?

If a ticket was checked in accidentally, you can reverse the check-in using Checkout This Ticket.

  1. Find the ticket in the Checked-In view.
  2. Select Checkout This Ticket.

The ticket will no longer be marked as checked in and can be checked in again when the attendee arrives.

Remember: The Check-in Manager is date-specific. Always confirm that you are working on the correct event date before checking in tickets.

Need someone without a CUR8 login to scan tickets?

Use the Scanning Check-in System instead.

On the date of your event, you’ll also find a QR code in the Check-in Manager, under your event date drop-down, that allows users without a CUR8 login to quickly access the scanning system and scan tickets for your attendees.
