Admins and Ticketing Managers can create two types of coupon codes:

  • One Coupon Code
  • Multiple Unique Codes

Coupon Types

One Coupon Code

"One Coupon Code" creates a single, reusable code. You can set the number of tickets that can be redeemed with this code.

This is a great way to distribute one single code to a large group, but it is important to remember that a single attendee may redeem this code multiple times. The code will only become invalid once the time frame ends or the "Number of Redemptions" has been met.

Example: One Coupon Code: You create a code called "C-Shrek15OFF" or "C-SUMMER20" and set the number of redemptions to 10.

  • Bob uses the code for 1 ticket.
  • Sue uses the code for 6 tickets.
  • Mike uses the code for 3 tickets.
  • The coupon is now invalid for other attendees as all 10 redemptions associated with that code have been used.

Multiple Unique Codes

"Multiple Unique Codes" creates several unique codes that can only be redeemed once per code, per transaction. It's a great way to distribute coupon codes to staff, participants, volunteers, and others who you would like to give a set discount.

  • Make sure you "Save" the coupon in the lower right corner.
  • You cannot adjust redemption quantities once the coupon is active.

What is the difference between an active, inactive, and archived coupon?

Active The redemption dates are valid, and the coupon can be redeemed.
Inactive The redemption end date is past, and the coupon cannot be redeemed. However, you can extend the end date of a coupon to reactivate it.
Archived A coupon must be manually selected to be archived. An archived coupon will no longer be used and must be removed from the active/inactive list.

Is it possible to see which coupons have been redeemed?

Yes. Click the coupon name and scroll to the bottom where it says "Usage."

You can view who redeemed a coupon and the transaction ID number. For multiple-unique codes, there is a .csv file to download.
