Reserving and Blocking seats allows you to tailor your ticket availability on a per-performance basis. Reservations can be used to
- set aside house seats
- block areas of your venue for production equipment or reduced sight lines
-
adjust occupancy
- If you anticipate using lower occupancy counts in your venue often, we recommend creating a new Location with those quantities permanently adjusted. This will save time and lessen the margin for error.
To Reserve/Block Seats:
Go to your Project Landing Page, hover over your project poster and select Buy Tickets, then select a date/time.
- For Reserved Seating, you will be taken to the seating chart to select the seats you wish to reserve for the selected date. If you are adding a large number of seats, select the Quick Selection Mode button above the chart to allow you to add tickets to your cart without selecting a price for each seat.
- For General Admission, you will be taken to a dropdown menu where you can select the total number of seats you wish to reserve.
- Select Add to Cart to add the seats to your cart and move to the payment screen.
Then, under Payment Method, choose Reserve/Block.
Select Checkout As Box Office, an existing customer or enter the customer's information.
-
If this reservation is for an attendee, enter their first and last name.
- Although names are required, email addresses are not.
- If you are not entering a unique email for a specific attendee, always leave this field blank.
- To block seats for non-use, we recommend entering first name Blocked, last name Seats (or similar).
Once you have entered the name for the order, you can go ahead with the rest of the checkout process.
Important Notes:
- A Reservation does not produce a printable ticket. It only restricts the seat/ticket from public availability.
- You will see a total listed in the cart. This is showing you the value of the tickets. This amount is not calculated with your sales totals, and no fees are assessed.
- Reservations are free for your organization.
