What is Film Review?
Film Review is a new, powerful tool on CUR8 that provides a central, easily accessible platform for reviewing video recordings from within CUR8. You can collaborate on a video, which allows multiple people to review and discuss the content together, fostering better communication and understanding.
When creating a Film Review asset, you can leave time-stamped notes and tag people in those notes so that they can view the video and your notes for themselves. And the notes appear in the video where you placed them.
Key Elements of Film Review
-
Interactive Annotations:
- Add time-stamped notes directly onto videos, tagging individuals to ensure they receive relevant feedback and can view comments in the context of specific moments.
- By tagging people in those notes, those tagged people can see your notes in the right place when reviewing the video.
- Multiple People can tag people and add notes while recording.
-
Calendar Integration:
- If you create a Film Review asset within your calendar, you'll have the convenience of having important recorded content on your Organization's calendar, on dates/times, making it easy for users to find and review specific videos.
- Assigned users can easily find and view recordings linked to their scheduled dates.
- Live and On-Demand Access: Engage with real-time videos during recording and edit notes after the stream ends, as recordings transition to Video On Demand (VOD) mode.

What is note-taking like on Film Review?
You'll be able to make notes while the recording is live. You can make general notes or notes for a specific person by tagging them @Person Name. Once you add a note, the note will become timestamped, and anyone tagged in the note can view it in the video when it was entered.
You can also add notes to the video after it's recorded.

Once the live stream stops, it becomes a VOD. In VOD mode, you can add additional time stamps and edit notes.
