Submit a Location
When you submit a new seating chart, its status is set to Pending. This means it has been received but has not yet been reviewed by the CUR8 Locations Team.CUR8 Review
The CUR8 Locations Team sets the status to In Process while reviewing your submission and building the seating chart. If no additional information is needed, the chart moves to Awaiting Approval once complete. More information is listed below about this back and forth process.Approved
The requesting admin clicks I approve my Seating Chart on the Location Detail page. The status updates to Active, making the layout ready for projects and ticket sales.Active Layouts
Approved layouts can still be updated by selecting Adjustment Requested. Locations with active ticket sales cannot use Adjustment Requested. For changes to these layouts, please contact Support. Adjustments for locations with active ticket sales are limited.
When Additional Information or Changes Are Needed

Info Needed
If the CUR8 Locations Team needs clarification before completing the chart, the status is set to Info Needed. Notes are added to the Adjustment Requested section, and an email is sent to the user who requested the seating chart.
At this point, the admin can respond with additional details or images.
Once received, the status returns to In Process and continues through the standard workflow.

Adjustment Requested
Once a layout has been created, admins can request updates by submitting notes or images through Adjustment Requested.
The CUR8 Locations Team reviews and finalizes the changes, and the layout returns to Active.
A few important notes:
Email notifications for Info Needed and Awaiting Approval are sent to the user who originally requested the seating chart.
Admins cannot initiate messaging while a location is in Pending or In Process.
Communication begins only when the status is set to Info Needed.
Location Statuses Defined:
- Pending – Submitted and waiting for review by the CUR8 Locations Team.
- In Process – The CUR8 Locations Team is actively creating the layout. Revisions cannot be requested in this phase.
- Info Needed – Additional clarification is required before work can continue. Notes are provided, and an email is sent to the requesting user.
- Adjustment Requested – Updates or changes have been submitted for a completed layout and are under review.
- Awaiting Approval – The location has been finalized by the CUR8 Locations Team and is ready for admin approval. Clicking “I approve my Seating Chart” updates the status to Active. An email notification is sent to the user who requested the layout.
- Approved / Active – The layout is complete and ready for use in projects and ticket sales. Changes can be requested on an active location by using Adjustment Requested.
Note: Not all locations will move through every status. Most follow the direct path from Pending → In Process → Awaiting Approval → Active, unless additional clarification or changes are needed.
Where can a Location Status be viewed?
Navigate to Ticketing > Locations to view all seating charts and their statuses. You'll see your Location List. On each line, to the right, there is a status indicator. If you see Info Needed or Awaiting Approval, those require actions on the organization's end.
How to Review and Approve a Location
- Navigate to Ticketing > Locations to view existing Locations.
- Find the location that needs to be approved - on the right-hand side, it will have an orange "Awaiting Approval" status.
- Select the location name to go to the detail page.
Review your Chart.
Once on the Location Detail, you'll be able to review the seating chart. Please check for price breaks, sections, blocked seats, ADA, etc. Make sure everything is as you'd like it to be.
Need Changes?
If the location is not ready, scroll down to the Adjustment Requested section. Add notes and upload an image. We highly recommend including an image with your notes.
Location Looks Good
Select the blue button that says "I approve my Seating Chart".
This will move the chart to active, and it can be added to projects for ticketed events.
Tips for a Smooth Workflow for Admins
- Provide clear images and detailed notes when submitting updates. Including price breaks and sections. The more thorough and clear the initial submission of information is, the smoother the creation process will be. This is key.
- Respond promptly to Info Needed requests to avoid delays in location creation.
- If updates are not visible, clear your browser cache and restart your browser.
