What is the Content Builder?

It is an editor that allows you to create Engagements (marketing emails) by dragging and dropping content blocks such as images, text, buttons, and more. It’s user-friendly and ideal for those who prefer a more visual approach to email design.

You can start by using the blank Content Builder, or you can explore the template sections for inspiration or as a jumping-off point.

Where is the Content Builder?

Once you're in Connect for your organization, you'll find the Content Builder in the 'Your Content' section under Create New Engagement and also Create New Template

This is a blank Content Builder:

Exploring the Left Side of the Content Builder

Building your Engagement or Template with the Content Builder is easy. Drag and drop the desired elements from the left panel into the blank content area to create your design.

Getting Started without a Template

When you first see the builder, the canvas will appear blank with a note saying ‘No content here, drag content from left.’

To begin, click the 'Add Row' button to add a column structure to your design.

Once you have a column, you can drag and drop content blocks directly into the column area from the left panel, such as text, images, or buttons. This feature makes building and customizing your engagement layout easy without coding. You can also add more columns to build your engagements.

Below is an example of two rows with columns added. On the left is the editor builder without content, and on the right is the modified content layout.
