What is my organization code?
The Join Code is a customized code created for an Organization that allows People to connect to your Organization's community. It is not the Login Code.
- Only the admin of Organizations has access to change the Join Code.
- Join Code is Alphanumeric.
- Join Code cannot have spaces.
Where can I find an Organization's join code?
It's in the Organization menu, located in the top left-hand corner of the page.
- Select the Organization menu (top left)
- Select the Organization.
- Then Preferences/Settings
- Select Options
- Join Code will be listed at the top.
Who do I give the Join Code to?
Everyone.
The goal is to get everyone who works with or participates in your organization to join CUR8: Administrators, teachers, students, artistic directors, coaches, board of directors, cast members, tech crew, dancers, and athletes.
After a Person joins my organization, what can they do?
- Once they join, they will have their own login and Person Detail and are assigned a permission level of "Participant." You can adjust their permissions depending on what you'd like them to have access to.
- This Person can now be managed, such as assigned to a role, scheduled, communicated with, etc.
- They'll have access to their Person Detail where each user can manage several pieces of information, such as:
- their headshot,
- bio,
- contact information
Once a Person is connected to your Organization, they won't need to use your Organization code again. They will be associated with your Organization unless you need to remove a Person or they choose to remove themselves.
Is a Person automatically assigned to a Project?
No.
They have joined your Organization and community, not a Project. No one is automatically connected to a Project. You'll need to connect individual people to Projects by assigning them to a Role.
Understanding Joining CUR8 and the Join Code
Efficiency: The Join Code connects people to your organization quickly and easily to empower each individual to manage their information. You don't have to manage their info for them. Share the Join Code whether you want to add one person or an entire group of People. Once they've joined your Community, you can organize them into Roles and Groups.
Build Over Time: We want to help you bring together and build your community! Because a Person becomes a permanent member of your community and our platform, they only need to register once - no matter how many projects you create and host. As each Person needs to register only once, you can create a vast network or pool of participants to easily communicate with about current and upcoming Projects, volunteer opportunities, and marketing. Furthermore, as you continue to use CUR8, the community will grow, reducing the need for ongoing sign-ups.
CUR8 Tip: Consider having all participants, students, staff, administrators, performers, athletes, volunteers, parents, guardians, etc, sign up on CUR8 for your Organization at the beginning of the school year or the start of the season.
Additionally, having everyone registered from the start allows quicker assignment to roles and groups. The sooner People are registered, the sooner they can be organized and managed, and the more time you'll be able to save by using CUR8 scheduling and notifications.
