The Person Detail page is a person's profile page that contains information specific to that person.
For security, a Person's contact information is only visible to the logged-in user. Someone's personal information is not public to anyone else within an Organization, including Admins.
Where is my Person Detail?
Once logged in, look in the top right corner for your profile picture or initials, depending on if you've already uploaded a picture. Click that menu, and then select My Person Detail
Person Detail Example:
Person Detail Info: Logged In User
Once a Person has joined your organization, they can view or edit this information:
- First name, last name, bio
- Include a headshot or photograph
- Personalized schedule with conflicts
- Their contact info
- Their communications
- Their tickets
- Their notification settings
Below is an example of the menu items available to a logged-in user on their own Person Detail. Not all these options are available for an Admin/Manager to view on another Person's Detail.
Person Detail Info: Admin or Manager
When an Admin or Project Manager views a Person Detail that is not theirs, they have a limited selection of items. They cannot see Shared Contacts, Your Contact Info, or Support Pin of another logged-in User.
Quick Actions for Person
The + menu top right corner of a Person's Detail page has shortcuts to speed up frequent actions. You can quickly create:
Do People Join a Project or an Organization?
When a person joins, they are linked to the organization and can then be connected to projects, either by assigning roles within the project or giving permissions for that project.
This means that as your community grows, you'll have an extensive repository of People who have participated with your Organization over time. Once someone joins your Organization, they are part of your community unless you need to remove them. Also, once a Person joins your Organization, they only need to join once.
Think of the long-term benefits of having this large collection of people with contacts - marketing, volunteers, and future events.
