Tokens are one of the most powerful features in CUR8 Connect. A Token is a reusable, trackable link that you can embed inside your emails (via buttons, text, or banners) or download as a QR code for printed materials. Yes, you can even track if printed materials are working!

By using Tokens, you aren't just guessing if your marketing is working. You can track exactly how many clicks, started shopping carts, completed ticket purchases, and total sales revenue resulted from a specific link.

You can create a token in 3 easy steps. All you need to do is:

  1. Name the Token
  2. Select the destination type.
  3. Select the URL

That's it.

How to Create a New Token

  • With Connect, go to Manage Tokens in the top right corner

  • Go to Start New Token

  • Name your token. This is for your internal reference as you'll likely have several tokens for various projects, events, and marketing goals.

  • Select your destination URL. This is the website you want them to go to if they select the button/banner/image you've attached the token to.

  • You can route attendees to:

    • Single Project Landing Page

    • Your full Organization Landing Page

    • Custom URL. If you use a custom URL to an outside website, we only track clicks, not carts or purchases.

  • Click Create Token. If the Create Token button is grayed out, please confirm that all fields have been completed.

How to Add Tokens to Your Engagements

Once you have created your Tokens, they are ready to be used inside your engagements. CUR8 automatically displays them in Create New Engagements.

  • Inside the engagement content builder, add a button, image banner, or highlight text that you want to turn into a link.

  • Make sure the Content section is selected.

  • You'll see CUR8 Link at the very top.

  • To link the token and link destination, either drag the CUR8 Link into a building block area to create a customizable button and set its Destination URL, or select an existing button and update its Destination URL.

  • On the left menu, a dropdown named Destination token will appear containing all the Tokens you have created. They will be listed by the internal names give to them at the time of creation.

  • Simply select the Token you want to use, and CUR8 will automatically route the attendee to the correct destination while tracking their activity.

If you need to edit am internal token name for clarity, you can return to manage tokens, scroll to the manage tokens section and select the edit pencil next to the token.
