What is a Daily Schedule?
In simple terms, a Daily Schedule is a message, either a text or an email, or both, that tells someone what’s on their CUR8 calendar for that day. It includes all their calendar events and activities they’ve been added to. Admins can send these out so everyone knows exactly where to be and when.
- No guesswork.
- No “wait, what time is that again?”
- Just a quick daily reminder to help people stay on track.
More formally, the Daily Schedule is a communication tool that pulls directly from your CUR8 calendar to create a personalized overview of the day for each participant. Admins can send these notifications based on the participants' communication preferences, and each one includes the recipient’s full schedule for the selected date, whether they have one event or multiple events.
If you're already using CUR8 to schedule your rehearsals, practices, meetings, fittings, and other calendar events, then using the Daily Schedule is an easy choice. Once those events are on the calendar and folks are assigned to them, generating and sending a Daily Schedule only takes a few clicks.
Who is the Daily Schedule sent to?
Minimum Criteria for a person to be eligible to receive a Daily Schedule:
Be a logged-in CUR8 User (How do People join CUR8?)
Be associated with your Organization in CUR8 (Joining an Organization)
Anyone assigned to an organization with an event on the selected date can receive a Daily Schedule if they’ve opted into notifications.
You can send it to your whole organization or use filters to target specific projects or groups. For example, you can send a Daily Schedule to your entire department, or you can send a Daily Schedule specifically to your musical cast.
Once sent, each person receives a complete summary of their CUR8 events for the selected day, delivered via text or email, depending on their notification preferences.
Choose Your Daily Schedule Delivery Date
Daily Schedules are not sent automatically. Each time you'd like to send one, you must select the specific date you want the schedule to cover, then manually initiate the send.
Important: The Daily Schedule reflects the events scheduled for the date you choose, but the message is delivered immediately when you click 'Send'. For example, if today is August 1 and you generate a Daily Schedule for August 15, that summary goes out right then, on August 1, showing the recipient their calendar for August 15.
Daily Schedules include all calendar events a person is assigned to on the selected date, even from other organizations. For example, a student has a choreography rehearsal with your organization and a student council meeting with another organization. In that case, both events will appear in the Daily Schedule if they fall on the same day.
What if a calendar event changes after the Daily Schedule is sent?
The Daily Schedule link stays active for 24 hours and always shows the most up-to-date information.
If you'd like to highlight that something on their calendar has changed, we recommend sending a new Daily Schedule.
Can a Daily Schedule be scheduled in advance to send?
No. To account for last-minute changes you may have, Daily Schedules can only be sent manually at the exact time you approve them.
Are there costs associated with using the Daily Schedule?
Yes, the Daily Schedule is a type of notification and uses CUR8 Credits. When setting up a Daily Schedule, you’ll need to approve the CUR8 Credit cost before the schedule is sent.
What are CUR8 Credits and how can I get them?
Can Participants opt out of receiving notifications?
Yes.
They can choose to receive notifications via SMS, email, or both, or they can opt out entirely.
If a Person opts out of notifications, they will not receive any notifications from your organization (or any others). They can opt out of notifications in their Person Detail under Your Contact Info.
