Managing people is a part of life, and having a reliable process makes all the difference.

CUR8 is that process.

CUR8 simplifies organization, scheduling, and communication within your team or organization. It helps you bring people together and provides a clear, effective approach to managing them. With a structured system, you can foster accountability, boost efficiency, and ensure every person contributes meaningfully to shared success.

Because when people work together with purpose, they create lasting impacts on their community.

What is meant by People on CUR8?

The heart and foundation of your organization is its People: the individuals who make everything happen. In CUR8, People are anyone who has joined your organization as a logged-in CUR8 user by using a Join Code.

This includes students, parents, volunteers, staff, and community members—anyone involved in organizing, coordinating, participating in, or supporting your productions, events, or activities. It’s important to note that People (or a Person) are different from Attendees or Patrons. People help bring your events to life, and attendees/patrons are those who come to experience them.

But who are People?

Everyone! When you view the People List, you'll see everyone who has joined your organization—no matter their role or involvement in which projects.

Here are just a few examples:

  • Board Members
  • Cast Members
  • Athletes & Coaches
  • Dancers & Choreographers
  • Tech Crew & Stage Managers
  • Boosters & Team Captains
  • Directors & Artistic Directors
  • Teachers & Principals
  • Volunteers & Assistants
  • Alumni & Community Members

There are no limits to who can be part of your CUR8 community.

How do I connect a Person to a Project?

The only way to assign a Person to a Project is to assign them a Role within the Project.

How can I use Roles to organize People?

Some roles will be straightforward—a Role is a person’s position, job, title, or responsibility within a project. As you become more familiar with CUR8 and how roles work, you may discover creative ways to organize and manage people. Roles are flexible and can be customized to fit your needs, allowing you to tailor them to any project, from a school play to a sports event.

How are Roles created on a Project?

Setting Up Roles on a Project

You’ll set up roles by navigating to the project's Roles Page and assigning positions to people. Creating roles is simple, and you can customize them based on your project's needs.

Can more than one Person be assigned to a Role within an Project

Yes! Multiple people can be assigned to a role.

However, consider whether you’ll want to schedule this role as an individual. In cases where scheduling and communication are key, it may be better to organize roles into Groups to make the process more efficient.
